Scansmiths Clips Portal is a client facing portal that is ideal for providing access to unstructured data. Examples of this would be rushes archives, news footage, music tour media, etc where the content has metadata, but does not necessarily fit into a clean hierarchy (e.g. like episodic long form TV content.
The Portal allows you to view content and metadata, search for clips using the metadata or logging information, play and review the content.
In addition the user can edit the content and send it to our cloud based system for transcoding and delivery.
The Scansmiths portal also provides a storage service for storing your media in the Cloud but allowing free access to the portal for search and find prior to retrieval. This saves you time and egress fees by making sure you retrieve the footage you require only.
Finally, we can provide a version for e-commerce that allows you to present your media to a wider group securely with logos or other burn ins to render the portal content unusable but give access to potential content purchasers to find and review your content.
